Founding Clinical Director | Psychotherapist | Supervisor
Queer-identified
Cannabis Friendly
Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of working and consulting across a wide range of settings with patients of all ages. After progressive experiences that culminated in directing a mental health clinic and its’ satellite programming, I decided to take my private practice full time and get back to what I love most in this field – transformative work with patients and supervisees.
I customize my approach for each individual person I work with, taking their unique goals and experiences into consideration, drawing upon Relational and Interpersonal psychoanalytic psychotherapy, anti-oppressive lenses (including Health at Every Size), somatic and experiential approaches, and intersectional feminism as the deepest foundations for my work.
Patients often experience work with me as being more engaged and enlivening than they typically expect of depth oriented therapy, and seek me out precisely because I am not your stereotypical blank faced analyst who just says “mmmhmm” and writes in a notebook. Instead, I am responsive and affirmative in my approach. I seek to create a deeply collaborative, safe and even fun space from which to work with my patients and supervisees.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I am also an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service, where I teach courses on clinical supervision for more experienced social workers, and graduate level courses on topics ranging from assessment and diagnosis to clinical practice.
I welcome any additional questions you might have about me and my personal and professional experiences.
